How to Rename an Azure Virtual Machine
Charbel Nemnom showcases a custom PowerShell script for renaming an Azure virtual machine (both Windows and Linux!). Charbel’s script saves the virtual machine metadata, destroys the old VM, and deploys a new one with the correct name. All while keeping the OS disk, data disks, and network interface.
